Daily Drills Viral Bubble Dress

I came across a post of a creator talking about a new brand called “Daily Drills”. I assumed it was about equipment and tools or even practicing language learning reps until I started to read the comments to later see what the brand was about.

Some of the items of this brand are basic, even outside of alternative fashion. One piece stuck out to me as the most bizarre one; the bubble dress. Bubble dresses were a bit cute for millennials in the early 2010s, after all as a gaijin gyaru who loves fashion, I had a few myself. I initially thought it couldn’t be that bad...

If you've ever "felt like a potato" then this dress is perfect for you! You can live out your wildest, spud dreams as a the cutest baked potato in the world.

Boy was I wrong! The dress that appeared in the search was a shiny, grey, wrinkly mini “dress” that wasn’t really being styled (and styling goes beyond wearing a pair of shoes with the item).  I have the feeling that you can just pay young influencers to seem like they love the brand to get as many comments as you want, whether the audience loves it or hates it!

I also noticed that the dress appeared back in 2022, and then again in June 2024. It doesn't look like it is currently on their main website at this time. Is this piece going to be one of their staples? Or is it just appearing to get views and comments?
