 There is SO much misinformation going on about the purpose of gyaru makeup, so much so, that @🎀kitkat🎀 , comments on an old montage of my most extreme gyaru makeup (Manba, super large eyes with a droop), to tell me 

Huh? The video was about doing white filled droops correctly, so why the comment in the first place? Just saw a video tagged “gyaru” and had the copy paste button at the ready? No matter the meaning of the video?

Yes, some (extreme) gyaru makeup could be labeled as off putting, but if that’s the true goal, wouldn’t EVERY gyaru style be off putting, even before Manba was on trend?

Gyaru gyaru o couple 

Trends, like gonguro and Manba, come and go due to a few factors, but the overlying nature of gyaru; being cute (even if over the top), having fun, wearing trendy clothes and the latest makeup that still follows some of the shape of Manba makeup (just less bold and over the top) and hairstyles, partying, will still be there. 

If you want to look off putting to scare off men, do you! But don’t try to erase what gyaru has been over the decades. This’ll prolly be hard to do for some of y’all tiktokers though.
