Momoa Graduating and More Gyaru-fied 109

As January has been a clusterf*ck of events, let's focus on something else. There's been a few things that are going on in the JP gyaru world.  Let's cover them, shall we?

One of them is that Momoa is retiring from Egg Mag come this April. I briefly watched the video about her upcoming graduation from egg. Some speculations on this graduation could be from her just being phased out of the magazine or that she is displeased with being the fall guy for the insensitive antics that the Egg staff had her be the face of. This raises some questions; did she do this on her own volition, or was it suggested to her to do for views and click-rage-bait? After all, the content has to be curated and directed by someone, right? Even if she leaves, making some western gyaru happy, who's to say that the editors won't get someone else to do some crazy stunts?

With Cinna being on top of a lot of trends coming out of Asia, she has showcased the slow trickle of gyaru-esque items as well as the soon to be comeback for gyaru fashion in 109. From tan and super cute Hello Kitties to some stores slowly shifting back to some Hime Gyaru-styled items, the Heisei gyaru touch is resurfacing. Yumetenbo's Diable Baiser also has showcased the ero-kawa pink and black agejo based collection. What will be in store for the rest of 2025? 

Upon looking at the styles offered, the high-waisted plaid skirt (with colour variations) comes in a bigger size range (JP 4-6xl) that costs 1000 yen (about $6.44) more at 5990Y than the standard sizes they offer  4990Y. It's a bit of an improvement than the brand having only one size or the 3 basic sizes. However, it costs a little more due to more fabric being used, and Japanese sizes do run about a size smaller than their Western counterparts. As our sizings differ, a little conversion had to be done because at first glance (and as an American), 6xl sounds really inclusive! 

For the size 6xl skirt, the cm goes from 101cm(39.7in) to 142cm(55.9in). That's roughly a size 10, maybe a 12 in American sizing (according to Google.) It is a Japanese brand after all... I would love to see more size ranges for the other apparel they sell.
