"Wow, what a feeling! Strong yet soft, the indescribable sensation is truly long lasting."
It's Rohto Z!
Feel it!
Hey hearlets, I was on the search for the longest time to get my hands on a Japanese, refreshingly minty contact lens solution I had the pleasure of experiencing during my college days. Its sensation was something I never experienced with American eye drops, and stuck with me all this time. But, what was its name?
Recently, I found Rohto Z! in a store, and wanted to give it a try. The word クール"ku- ru", katakana for the English word cool, stuck out to me. The blue box found itself in my hands, and I briskly walked to the register to acquire my new find. Finally! I thought. I could re-experience the cooling sensation that I was pining for from years ago.
Later that night, post-shower and skincare ritual, I recalled the blue box that was waiting for me.
Feel it!
And I wanted to.
I skimmed over the box, opened it, and saw the diamond-shaped contact lens container.

Stylish Rohto Z! |
Sleek, simplistic, stylish.
I opened it, tipped my head back, and allowed a droplet to cascade down into my eye.
FEEL IT!
It was minty that was for certain. A little too minty. It wasn't as refreshing as I had hoped, and was a way too much for me to enjoy. Through now blurry, teary, minty eyes, I noticed the level of cool it had.

Max cool factor. MAX artic cool factor.
Who was this intended for? Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat?
A little too ku- ru for my eyes. Perhaps a 4 or 5 would actually be a delightful experience. Strong and indescribable are definitely words that come to mind with this.
A little closer, yet still far away from recapturing that gently tingling feeling in my eyes. Perhaps I will come across one that is milder. Right now, I am not quite sure what to do with this as the sensation is more unbearable. I doubt I would get used to the intensity of this Rohto Z!
Have you tried this level from Rohto Z! before? Or do you have a different eyedrop that you prefer?
