Mini Makeup Haul

I haven't done a lot of hauls after post college it seems, but here is another one.
I went shopping one day, and decided to grab a few things to try out.
I usually use brow pencils for my brows but decided to dip my toe into the magical world of eyebrow makeup! I missed the brow mascara craze back in 2011 or so when some gyaru would use it on their brows.

I tried out e.l.f.'s brow kit from Target. Though at times I can't get a very clean cut look with my brows like the pics on Instagram, the kit does a decent job. On no foundation and minimal makeup days, my brows look pretty natural and I'm happy.

Now on to the eyebrow shaping kit... I am not pleased. The scissors are ok at best and a little clumsy, the brush is too stiff and I just have no use for the comb. The attachment to the scissors weren't beneficial at all so they were tossed. The tweezers didn't provide enough grip and I ended up using them for lash application. Thank goodness I have a pair of tweezers that work or I'd be s.o.l.
Until next time!

Mini Haul, Another One

I've been experimenting with new nail colours than I usually use. A lot more natural tones and a lot more basic than the glittered and blinged out nails you all are used to me wearing. But for work or trying to land a job interview, they definately work.

These are on the inexpensive side, which is great for girls and beginner gals to experiment with nail art and colours and work pretty well. They are The matte polish also is my fave compared to Sally Hanson's Big Matte Top Coat which surprised me big time. This matte polish doesn't streak like the Sally Hanson one, and didn't leave white specks and lines on my nails.

You can find these at your local Walgreens store in the beauty aisle!

Until next time!

Mini haul

Shampoo and vitamins! How exciting! What I have been buying hasn't been that exciting these days it seems. Pencils, pens and basic notebooks aren't very eyecatching! maybe I should look into cute notebooks....

gyaru makeup haul, Chicago gyaru Lisha tries new stuff, organix

I kind of fell in love with the Organix shampoo. Though I'm going more natural with my hair care, I haven't fully researched all my options and would like to use up this stuff first! I went with the biotin and collagen and also keratin oil ones to aid in hair growth. Decided to mix it up from the keratin shampoo and conditioner I got during the Summer of 2015.

I also bought vitamins too for the fall and winter time to combat SADS due to lack of sun and my general hermitness during this season. Neesie, whom I met at Acen a few years ago gave me that tip! Thank you so much!

Until next time!

Circle Lens Review!

Geo Nudy Grey Review

 Click for the Video version!

So, over the years, Geo Nudy lens have been my fave! I am not sure why I gravitated to that particular style. It has a very soft look to them and a halo effect when you shift your gaze over. I was new to coloured contact lens when I purchased my first pair in like '09. I didn't want to get brown or black because that was too normal, and I was a little too shy to purchase a really in your face colour! So I chose grey!

I also am very picky when it comes to circle lens selection if I don't have something in mind right away. Though I have tried some various other colours, I really like grey lens and Nudy Grey style the most for non "normal" days.

I stopped purchasing from my original lens carrier and decided to go with Maples Lens thanks to Pepa's suggestion.
The lens are named Geo Super Nudy grey, priced at 18.90$USD, not including shipping.

Specs:
Diameter : 14.8mm
Water Content : 42%
Base Curve : 8.6mm
Life Span : 1 Year Disposal

They arrived pretty damned fast! About, 2 days after purchasing! WOWZERS. Most people, including yours truly, get lens about a week or two after purchasing and I've heard horror stories of people not getting their lens after like a month or so! Not having a long waiting time to get your coveted lens is a big plus for me!

Lisha's circle lens

I thought that these would be bigger than my older Nudy Lens, but appeared a tad smaller for whatever reason while in the animal soaking case.

The limbal ring is a lot darker than the other Nudy Lens type. I think this helps enhance the halo effect.

Comparison
The top one is the Super Nudy, the bottom just Nudy. The Super Nudy has a smaller inner circle unfilled by colour than its counter part.

Comparison
Regular Nudy on the left has a lighter and fainter edge and colour than the Super Nudy on the right.

I think I will keep Maples Lens bookmarked from now on. Their shipping was awesome and very unexpected.

Colour: 4/5
Comfort: 4.5/5
Design: 3.5/5 ( I like the pixelated design compared to some other circle lens lovers) It doesn't show up that much when you aren't super close to someone and it isn't that bright.
I think Super Nudy will be one of my on hand lenses. Love them so much!

Golds Infinity on Yesstyle + Review

Review!
Sleeveless Lace front Dress
The soft colour of Chocobo feather

I was super scared putting this thing on my head.
 I didn't want it to fall off and break. D:

Though I usually don't use these words to describe clothes I own.... this dress is super cute, girly and flirty! I LOVE IT. I was tempted to wear and get the black dress while I was at Anime Expo, but decided against it.

Being a one size fits all item, I was worried that it would not fit my boobs, rib cage area, or the straps wouldn't fit my arms and shoulders too well like with a lot of other clothes from Golds. But with this item, that wasn't the case! The chest area is snug enough to combat chest jiggles too which is a plus.
As part of a wide array of gyaru brands, they are also pretty affordable compared to some of the counterparts in girly wear.

Con: The zipper gets a little stuck while unzipping when its on, but I think maybe a little wax rubbed on the zipper's teeth should fix that problem.
It does need a bit of ironing to knock out some of the wrinkles.
Doesn't get much bigger than this size... yet...

~~~
So IF you all didn't know, Golds Infinity is now linked on Yesstyle.com as of June!
Check it out here! Golds+Yesstyle
There is also a 20% off sale on select items throughout the webshop
and free shipping on orders over 25 bucks too!
My Picks!
Ciao ciao~
Review: Mary Kay Timewise Set
I bought this set during last summer to give it a test shot! I usually use a regular exfoliating face cleaner, but wanted to try something new.
Spex:
Step1 Refine:
2.5fl. oz. / 70g
Step2 Replenish:
1 fl. oz./ 29ml
You dampen your face, and squeeze out a little bit on your fingertips to gently rub on
to your face (avoiding mouth and eye areas). I make sure
I exfoliate my nose and apples of my cheeks!
*Scrubscrub*
 When you are done,rinse well then pat lightly to dry for the next step!
"Awwww yisss, smooth skin, here I come!"
 Then squeeze out a bit of the Replenish cream and gently apply to your face. Yes, you have to have
the look of knowing you are gonna have some smooth skin like a baby's butt as pictured here!
All done!
Do these steps no more than 2 times a week. I do it once a week, and between 2-4 times a month!
This product has lasted me for almost a year! I also saw a difference in the size of my pores on the area closest to my nose. They are a bit on the small side anyway, but I still saw a difference.
Plus:
  • Exfoliates your skin due to the small crystals in Step1.
  • Leaves skin feeling soft.
  • Exfoliating cream lasts a while.
  • You save more money than getting the microdermabrasion treatments in a clinic.
Cons:
  • If you rub too hard you can risk irritating the skin, causing damage and if you are of lighter complexion, redness.
  • You shouldn't use this in conjunction with other face cleaners that contain salyic acid. You will dry out the skin a bit more.
  • Sometimes I get the little crystals in my mouth when I wash my face off...
Rating:
4/5
Price: $$
Fave "Kawaii" Android Apps
Ever since I got into this Android app downloading thing a few years ago, I have come across some great ones and some that were not so hot.
The ones that I keep now either social media related, or just some random things to pass the time.
I have a few deco apps that I have used over the past several years, so I will share em with you! Deco apps are great for gals and lolita's alike,  people who love purikura (photo booth picture stickers), and people who just love to put stamps on their photos!
Photo Wonder
I had this app a while back, and still do! I mainly use it to collage photos together so they do not take up a lot of space for posts etc. They have added more decorations, and filters PLUS roller brush decorations too!  Out of all the deco apps, this one seems to be the only one with a breast enlarger in the Beautify options. I think that "make up" on deco apps are weird. Like, they are soooo obvious! But great if you are just foolin around.
Pros: Great for collaging photos together! You can have the collage as a rectangle or a square which is great. The Filter Camera Option works great!
Editing screen and Decoration screen
Cons: The Materials Center takes a few seconds to load, and when you download a frame for a picture... I can't seem to find it! This app will send you a message telling you that you have not used it for a while. Kinda creepy!
Bugs: The Dark Circle Remover option was a little iffy for me and would diverge from the line I wanted to make under the eye. So you end up with a random lightened streak across your face!
4 out of 5
Kira Deco
This is my least used app. The selection page looks nice and is straight forward, but dated. When it comes to the editing screen, things get iffy. The icons can get in the way when you are decorating your pic and they shift from side to side when you want to add the decorative stamps, frame choices are limited, and user interface takes up too much of the picture. Though the shifting of the side bar for the stamps may seem like a good idea, I think it would have been BEST for them to just be out of the way anyways!
Menu Screen and Decorating screen
Pros: There are some cute stamps and frames in this app.
Cons: Some of the frames look a little cheesy. The options bar is in the way of the picture. The stamps aren't put into categories which bugs me!
Bugs: No bugs perse, just really bad user interface.
Review: Bang and Olufsen earphones
I got these pair of earphones as a gift and gave them a try.
Spex:
22 grams
Electro-dynamic speakers
Available Colours:
Aluminium x black, white, green, orange, yellow
Set includes:
Earset
3 pairs of ear pads
Carrying pouch
Manual
Plus:
  • They are adjustable! I have small ears, so it is nice that the bracket of the earphone is adjustable to the length of the ear.
  • The earbud also swivels as well for your perfect fit.
  • The sound is great for a pair of earbud headphones.
Cons:
  • The bracket gets in the way when wearing sunglasses and also tends to get a little uncomfortable after a period of wear.
  • The earphone jack, as with all earphone jacks, can get damaged. It is advised that you carefully tuck the earphones back in their carrying pouch when not in use, and not wrap them around your mp3 player ,iPod, phone, etc.
  • The soft rubber part that is attached to the bracket does not protect the wire all that well.
  • The metal parts get cold in the winter which make them a little uncomfortable.
Rating (out of 5):
Design: 4
Audio: 4
Comfort: 3
Price: $$$$
Be My Plum!
I felt like I should get a pair of brown lenses again. Only had a hazel pair back in 2011. I wasn't too into the lot of designs for lenses. I wanted something not too over the top colour wise like a light, bright brown.
So, I decided to grab a pair of Geo Plum Brown from Pinky Paradise. They were 19.90$ without shipping.
Cute vial and cute animal case
Specs:
Diameter: 15.0
Water Content: 42%
Base Curve: 8.7mm
Life Span: 1 year disposal
Design
The shipping took about a week or so from Pinky. The brown colour didn't show up too bright on my eyes. Its a bit on the transparent side than opaque and blends in nicely, letting the flower petal design peak through.
I know its bad to wear cosmetic lens for more than 8 hours, but I have from days that become longer than expected. (not recommended by the way) I don't get a lot of dryness with them, and no irritation even with the size of the lens.
Colour: 4/5
Comfort: 4.5/5
Design: 4.5/5
This post was written around 2013-2014 or so, and I have not seen them have this style any more.
