A Not So Gloomy Sunday

A gyaru acquaintance, came over again on Saturday. ;-;

We had pizza, wine, and ice cream and watched two movies together.

On Sunday, though it was cold as the Artic in Chicagoland, I decided to wear a dress I haven't worn yet. I have been looking more into Onee gyaru/Ane Gyaru, office/conservative type looks lately.

 but a pair of Diamond lashes in disguise. I think they are Cat's Eye

Dinner was an appetizer of raw fish, scallop and oysters.
I am not a big oyster fan, but the other pieces of fish was delicious! I want to go back there!!

Spectacles

 For breakfast/lunch today, my associate and I went to a restaurant. I had a cajun pasta dish with sausage, shrimp and chicken. The service was pretty off though and I thought the dish would be a bit spicier.

It was decent. 

Talking about life, and what I want to do now that I am done with school  makes me feel really old, and a bit anxious. I want things to happen NOW NOW NOW, but I know that all that I am trying to do will fall into place like the earth's plates being shifted slowly. It is nice to talk things over and get my head into gear with things.

A Few Things Here and There

I have been studying and reading wayyyyyy too much lately! Even one of my coworkers at work tells me "Haven't you studied enough?"

I prolly am doing more studying now more than ever! :X

On Valentines day, I chilled with some Elementary school and high school buddies with a bottle and pizza rolls! :D 

I finally bought new glasses! I can see! Hoorah! Hooray!

I think I should have picked a complety different style of frame though.... or a colour.

At work....

I think wayyyy too much at work and I tend to daydream a lot, and play with food.

She let me take a pic of her coat. It was pretty cute! She got it at Beatnicks I believe for a nice price than retail value! It made me think of a coat a hime kaji styled person would wear! Her daughter (?) said that we were sisters because I took a pic of her, lol!

I also totally didn't get a pick of a lady that had some stylish boots, leopard print skirt, black coat and black bag with gold accents on  it!

Walked through Downtown at night and these statues are spooky as hell. They are near the Art Institute and there are quite a handful of them chilling.

Rock On!

Purin came over last weekend, and we spent some time together. It was a first time in a while as she doesn't come to the meets when I invite her. We played Rock band, and watched 3 movies together. I finally finished Interview with a Vampire which had a silly ending, Cast Away (aka the FedEx movie) and also American History X. We ate snacks, drank, and caught up a bit too.

The Nostalgia Show

On February 21, Natalia and Elgin rounded up a bunch of Chicago artists to create pieces based off our favourite childhood cartoons and also video games for the Nostalgia Show.
It was great looking at pieces that the other artists did, and great to be in an environment literally bursting with creativity! The place was packed!!

Shintendo and Vagabond from The Terra Gods, Elephant Rebellion, and WestSide School for the Desperate had AMAZING hip hop and poetry performances throughout the night. I never knew that DragonBall Z and also random video games from my childhood could be made into poetry!

I was also able to meet up with some familiar faces as well! Kira*Kira (Black Cherry and Gal*luxy) and her boyfriend Kurt, Chris and Doga, Crystal, Tim, and Ashley all made it out!

Pretty tired of winter. It feels like it has been going on forever now! Tired of looking at snow, shoveling it, walking through it....
I just want it to be warm so I can enjoy outside again instead of being kooked up inside. I guess that is what they call cabin fever.

I have been working on pieces/concepts/stuff for my portfolio and art showings so I can have better things to show. Still have to photograph a lot of things, redo ,and also finish stuff. The amount of work seems never ending but it keeps my creative side going.

I really want a little vacation... Take a needed break. Go shopping. Go on a relaxing night drive with stars over head. Chill out for real.
Hopefully, that will come this year.

Besides a Valentines Night Friends Get Together with some Korbel, chocolates, and Dance Masters, I just do  my part time, studying way too late into the break of dawn, too much over-thinking {I still feel like I am in the twilight zone}, and website coding. :s Need to get back into P90 though... But cookies, other sweets, and pizza are super tempting... Must resist! ahhaha!

Also, besides a few days where I do some gal make...I have been looking pretty Plane Jane lately! But working hard for a much needed and revamped look! Plus creating tons of new content and projects! Stay tuned!

Four Belly Dinner!

I met up with Pepa, Alex, Rachel and Ken for a dinner at Four Belly in Boystown. I wanted some takoyaki and posted it online, and Pepa knew of a place that sold some! The atmosphere was lovely, and it is a nice dinner spot either with your pals or a lover, and the takoyaki was awesome. 8)

I know I will definitely find myself here again when I need a takoyaki and/or ramen fix!

Need to work on the side from sticking up like that.

Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!

This year, who do you want to thank? 
I saw this question being posed on Mixi, so here goes!The people I want to thank the most for 2013 are my x, my roommates, Golds Infinity staff,  My friends (gal and non gals). And of course my mom and my family for always being there. Thank you so much! I had a lot of opportunities this year, a lot of growing up and learning!
Its definitely time to start writing that long list of resolutions!

A Nightmare Before Christmas

On the 22nd of December, Natalia organized another art show, this time the theme was Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas. Different artists that she selected showcased their work with Tim Burton themed paintings and drawings!

There were also two bands and two hip hop artists that played there as well. With the music, food, art and good people, the night became lively and inspiring.
