I started a new job last December and its going pretty decently. The only thing is... is that my new hours totally screws with my time for hanging with people and coordinating get togethers!
While people are eating breakfast and commuting... I am usually asleep. Just my luck, right?
One of the good things is that I don't have to deal with a ton of people on my way to and from work usually, so my commute is generally peaceful. I know I will miss it when I work during normal business hours! Rush hour....

Besides that, I had another Artsy Maid Cafe Meeting!

I wore an old pair of leatherette knee high boots I had in my closet. The weather wasn't too bad... but then again, I didn't have to wait on public transportation this time around!

I felt pretty excited with this meeting! Plus it was a lot of fun too. Can't wait for the Cafe to roll around though!

Time to clone myself like forealz cuz this sitting behind a computer screen for hours tweaking things is a pain in the booty cheeks.

Northern Illinois Jfashion Meet Up

I was invited to come out to Saturday's event that was hosted by Stellarkei from the Northern Illinois Jfashion Club at Mitsuwa and also Round 1 that recently opened up in Bloomingdale.

We chatted and conversed a bit more as we ate snacks and shared stories at our table. One of the ladies noticed I was knitting after I ate my lunch... something people who are into gyaru fashion aren't necessarily known for!

After eating, we got ready for photo ops to capture our outfits that we wore to the meet up.

After magazines were bought, lunch eaten, and pictures taken, we headed to the recently opened Round 1 in Bloomingdale to take purikura!
I was so excited to see these beautiful machines, I almost cried in excitement! Though it is not that close to Mitsuwa or Gameworks, or even Chinatown for that matter, these machines were a Godsend and have been long awaited for YEARS for Chicagoans!

When we had our fill of playing arcade games, trying to win cute plushies, and taking purikura, the rest of the group toured and shopped at various stores in the mall.

Despite the cold weather, it was an enjoyable day out meeting with other (Japanese fashion) and alternative fashion enthusiasts!

Happy New Year 2015

This New Year Eve was celebrated at Murasaki Lounge in Downtown Chicago. The ladies tried various mixed drinks and sweet sake. I of course had my usual Japanese beer, Sapporo! The atmosphere at Muraski was lovely and an awesome choice to ring in the New Year.

The most special thing was that Shidoni was proposed to! It brought tears to my eyes as she looked puzzled as a group of her boyfriend's friends came to the bar, and then as he got on one knee.

We stayed til the lounge closed, talking with each other and also clownin with a group of people and gettin in that Japanese Language practice too! After the bar, we headed to complete our shenanigans at Sandra's, Allie's and Sidoni's hotel for our own New Year Hotel Party! We danced para para, sipped sweet wine, chatted, spilled flamin hots, listened to music, and had pizza gifted to us cuz we were just too damn cute and awesome. But, I do question the choice of pineapple and bacon pizza though....Just a little bit. ;p

Omg, so it feels good to be getting back to normal...or at least MY normal. haha
Makes me pretty happy to break free from this big ball of stress that I had become due to trying to finish up school and a lotta other things.

STRESS is a MOTHERFUCKER I tell you! (excuse my French, please!)

But, I try to meditate, breathe and other things to keep things flowing, plus I have been doing more yarn crafts lately and just eating whatever some days. Like, is it bad to order a slice of pie, 3 burgers, and a soda from a fast food joint? :x haha!

Even my best friend noticed I was more myself too when she came over! That made me really happy to hear! ;-; I've been feeling kinda like a zombie or... I don't even know.. a werewolf?! But, now I feel mostly human... I think. :p

Anyways, Christmas is almost here! OMG. >___<
It still hasn't truly snowed here in Chicago, and I have not been in the Christmas Spirit this year. It's also freakishly warm for a Chicago December. Makes me wonder what January-March is going to turn out like.

I did go to a Christmas party at a bar though! Drank a lil more than I normally would have, but tis the season, right?! hahaha. Drink responsibly kiddos!


I have a couple of plans for bringing in 2015, so I hope they come through. Too bad there will be so many parties I won't be able to attend though! Time to learn how to clone myself....

Knitting and Advertising

SO, I saw the commercial for Strange Hobbies, about a shopping service for groceries etc.
The guy is supposed to be "knitting" but everything is crocheted around him.

You may be wondering, "LISHA WHO CARES?! THIS BLOG USED TO BE ABOUT GYARU FASHION. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING TALKING ABOUT RANDOM ASS COMMERCIALS ABOUT HOBBIES?! "

Yes, I am super aware of that. I am aware that I really haven't talked about my make up, or what lens I want to buy, or my shopping sprees of late. Like, who is interested in what I am eating or crafting anyway?! Maybe some of you are, maybe not....

But, the matter at hand is, I CAN TELL THAT THOSE CLOTHES AREN'T KNITTED! WTF

Halloween

Well, I had to work that day, but that's alright. I should have done a bit more to my make up that day even though I was going to be in uniform anyways, but the weather was too gross outside! Not only was it windy, it was drizzling and chilly too. I am surprised my lashes stayed on!

I heard that some kids and parents skipped trick or treating this year because of the weather conditions. Hopefully next year there will be pleasant weather for it.

I am glad that one of the other store workers had some Halloween Spirit! And even more happy that I got to see some people in costume too! I found 2 Waldo's, Princess Leia, a stormtrooper, and a baby giraffe to name a few!

Did a lil promoting for a maid cafe project!

  So, as of right now, the second project I am assisting with is with the (redacted)! We hit 200+ likes this week which is super awesome! I felt super amped again at the end of the day.

This should have been my Halloween look though... Creepy face and all! ahahah.

As some of you may have seen or know, besides normal life stuff and drawing, I have been doing more Youtube vids in my spare-ish time again! I am glad that I got the energy and ideas for em, and even more glad that some of them have made some people laugh too which is pretty awesome!
Though the vids I am posting now is kinda different and will differ from what I used to upload, I hope that anyone who comes across them will enjoy them. :-)

Fashion Walk

The past two fashion walks were fun stuff!

 Couldn't help the rainy day running on a fashionable parade, but one thing does irk me. At the Harajuku Fashion Walk, a few picture takers were quite rude to some of the people who were left over from the Walk, and I was not too pleased.

 You don't have to be that frantic for a photo. And show some respect.
People like that tire me out because are there any manners??

whew.... But aside from that.... I look forward to more fashion walks in the Windy City.

Harajuku Fashion Walk

Fashion Walk-Harajuku Version

I attended the Harajuku Fashion walk on Saturday. I got to strut my stuff with the other very fashionable people all decked out in our gear in Downtown Chicago! From cool to kawaii, we took lots of pictures and chatted with each other. 

The walk ended at Millenium Park and we took pictures, had pictures taken by passersby, and also had a mini dance party!

Good job Harajuku Fashion Walk for your Day 1!
